How bad is my shop?

Something not working?

Email founders@dupi.co.uk and a person will read it.

If a receipt parsed badly, say which shop and roughly when. Please do not email the receipt photo itself unless we ask: it is a full record of what you bought and we would rather not have a copy sitting in an inbox.

Questions people ask first

Do I have to photograph every receipt?
No. One a week is the whole idea. If you miss one, nothing breaks and nothing nags you; the next one picks up where you left off.
What if the receipt is crumpled or faded?
Lay it as flat as you can and get the whole thing in frame. If some lines cannot be read, you still get a figure and the app tells you the parse was incomplete rather than quietly guessing.
Does it work with online shops and delivery?
Photographing a printed receipt is what works today. Order confirmation emails are a natural fit and are not built yet.
How is the ultra-processed figure worked out?
Every line is matched to a product and classified on the NOVA scale, which sorts food by how much industrial processing it has had rather than by calories or nutrients. The figure is the share of your food and drink spend that falls in the ultra-processed group. Things that are not food are excluded.
Is the classification ever wrong?
Yes, and it will say so where it is unsure. A receipt prints a name, not an ingredients list, so an own-brand soup or a generic sandwich is a genuine judgement call. Obvious cases are not.
Is this dietary advice?
No. It describes what you bought. There is no score, no grade and no target, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone who knows your situation.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Email us and we will remove your account and everything attached to it. Deletion from inside the app is coming.
